This really wasn't as serious an event as the face might suggest. I think the boy tripped or ran into the table while running to look out the window. Quick with the camera (and thankful for the natural light and temporary "frozen" state of my subject) I was able to capture this expression before reaching to comfort him. I showed him the instant review, and he grinned, tear trail still visible on his rosy cheek. All better.
